Advanced Network Consulting was referred to Dr. Dunham’s office by an existing client, the contractor that was doing the build out for Dr. Dunhams new office. We met with Dr. Dunham and discussed his needs for the new office. We purchased the new server, UPS, Firewall and misc. equipment. ANC completed the network cabling for the new office and coordinated the installation of the office internet connection. We installed wall mounts and mounted the flat panel LCD displays in all of the exam rooms.
ANC specked out and purchased a new Dell PowerEdge server including Windows 2008 R2. We configured Active Directory, Created all users and share permission and designed a login script for the office. ANC Installed and configured all of the Exam room and front office computers.
ANC re-configured the AT&T supplied router and installed the new Sonicwall Firewall to secure the network and allow VPN access for approved users.
While the office was shut down to move the Exam room equipment to the new office we removed the existing server and preformed several sequential upgrades to the existing server installation of Dentrix to bring the Dentrix Database up to the current version. We then installed the latest version of Dentrix on the new server, backed up the data on the old Dentrix Server and imported the data into the new server running the latest Dentrix version. We deployed the latest version of Dentrix on all Exam and front office computers.
Advanced Network Consulting installed the new Digital X-ray sensor, installed and configured the Digital X-ray software module for Dentrix, switching the office from the old film X-ray to fully Digital. ANC also manages Dr. Dunham’s cloud backup service, and the dental practice has had no issues since implementation.
